My 27th birthday!

Well, yesterday was my 27th b-day and it started great with breakfast at Cracker Barrel!! YUM! The girls thought "it is SO much food".... :)
Here is a pic.
However, the rest of my day would turn out to not be the greatest day!
(Get ready for my ramblings...)
Not to be "Debbie Downer" (which I feel like I can be sometimes)... but it was a rough day, once again, with my son! Parker will be turning two next Friday and let's just say he is TESTING his boundaries! It is very wearing on me as a stay-at-home mom and with everything else being chaotic & busy - it took it's toll on me yesterday. I stopped by a playgroup with some of my friends to do an "activity bag swap" that we were doing together... we were already showing up late because of gymnastics for McKenna, and we were not there 5 minutes and Parker pushes my friends little boy down the stairs (just the bottom 2-BUT STILL!)...THEN, not 2 minutes later clocks another friend upside the head with a car!!! I just lost it at that point! (This unusual behavior has been going on for the past 3 weeks both at home & when we're out!! I feel like my day EVERY day is timeout/spanking/timeout/spanking.... you get my drift!)
So, I decided at that point we weren't staying for lunch - we were going HOME! As I was buckling him in his carseat 3 of my friends came out and offered to keep my kids while another girlfriend was going to take me out to lunch for my birthday! I was thinking to myself, "Oh yeah, it is my b-day!" But with their offer, came my tears! I just LOST it!!
Just to have such precious friends who care so much about you is such a special thing!! I just felt so loved, but yet at the same time I was still FUMING mad at my son's behavior! To make a LONG story, short... it turned out to be an okay day. It DEFINITELY had it's UPS & DOWNS!! haha...
Looking back, all I can do is laugh... but last night - it wasn't a funny topic as I ran through the details of my day with Brian! Because after some other events that occured during the rest of the day - it ended by my son being brought to be in the youth area while the youth service was going on for hitting other kids!! Yes - it's true! MY SON GOT KICKED OUT OF THE NURSERY AT CHURCH!!! How much more humiliating can it get!?!?! ;)
Needless to say, I was EXHAUSTED by 10:00 last night! I crashed!!
My birthday present, the new I-PHONE, that I've been waiting on to come in since last Tuesday...is still on backorder!! So I'm still battling my broken cellphone with the blank screen! I can't see my #'s, read my text's, see when I've missed a call, or see my caller ID!!!
That would have made my day if I would have received that phone call from AT&T yesterday... but I'm still waiting! :)
All in all, it was a pretty good birthday! I have been blessed with a great family & friends and another year of life! How much more blessed can you get?!?! :)

Oh Jen! That was a LONG day! I'm sorry Parker is testing his boundaries so much! I guess it's true what they say, boys are SO different than girls, even in that area (hitting, pushing). I'll be praying for you, plus be watching to see how you handle it for my future children! Pretty sure at some point we will all have a child that tests things out. :) Does it help that they are the cutest ever?!

Happy Birthday again!! I'm so glad that your girlfriends were able to take you out for lunch. I'm so glad the Lord is blessing you in that area in Houston! BTW- are you on the phone with me in that Cracker Barrell pic? I remember you saying, oh, they are taking a picture right now! Haha!

Love you!
