For those of us living in the comforts of our western culture, worried about our 'first world problems', especially in the "Bible Belt" of America, I felt compelled to share a little bit about what I was made aware of about this organization today & the difference they're making to create a voice for these victims of human trafficking.
Right now on the earth there are 27 MILLION human beings caught in human trafficking. That is more slaves in the world today than at any other point in human HISTORY... being held against their own will and forced to do horrific things. This number does not just represent women - but men and CHILDREN as well!
Y'all.... seriously?!?!
The average age of a trafficked victim is 12 years old!!!!
This modern day slavery is the world's fastest growing criminal industry affected every country around the world... that's right, EVEN HERE IN AMERICA!!!
Only 1-2% of victims are ever rescued!
Every 30 seconds someone is forced into this type of bondage!
"The A21 Campaign exists to be a voice in the world for these 27 million people" -- this isn't just a # because each of those 27 million are people!
Daughters, cousins, nieces, sisters, sons, brothers, nephews, friends, & most of all, a person-a life, created in the image of a God who loves them and has a plan and purpose for their life!
We must wake up to the reality of the depravity of the world we live in and not just shrink back and think this is someone else's problem, but get educated on this crisis, and look for ways you can get involved to make a difference in being a voice for those who have no voice!
"We can not do everything, but everyone can do SOMETHING!"

Even if it's just to PRAY for these precious people who have goals, dreams and aspirations for this life! Pray that God would break our hearts for what breaks HIS! There is FREEDOM to found in Jesus Christ for all of us -- How can we know this is happening all around us and not do SOMETHING about it!
Christine shared a story today about a girl who was rescued from this horrific evil of a reality, as she shared with this girl about the love & hope in Jesus Christ and a God who loves her, who created her, and who gave His Son for her... and this young girl - broken, scared, and hopeless - looked her in the eyes and said "IF all of this is true about your God then WHY HAVE YOU NOT COME SOONER"!
Wow. Let that resonate in your heart.
There is a lost & dying world out there in need of the hope, love & redemption of a Savior --- wanting what we have but wondering where we are or why we haven't come for them SOONER!
Let it NOT be said of our Generation!
